1936  Mitteldeutsche Leichtmetallwerke GmbH
           Production of permanent mold castings for the aircraft industry

1946  Dispossesion and new foundation of the VEB Harzer Spritzgusswerk
           Piston production and light-metal castings

1960  VEB Druckguss- und Kolbenwerke Harzgerode
           Largest manufacturer of pistons for large bore diesel and gas engines
           in the former GDR

1990  Renamed in Metallwerke GmbH Harzgerode

1993  Privatized as Metallwerke Harzgerode GmbH
           after the German reunion in 1990

2001  Takeover by TRIMET AG
           Europ´s largest, independent Aluminum producer

2005  MMS – Marine Motor Service takes over the former TRIMET
           piston business by formation of the SECO GmbH
