For the first time, SECO was audited according to the new requirements of ISO 9001: 2015. During the two days, DQS was able to successfully convince itself that quality management was introduced and established at SECO in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2015. Deviations could not be determined. The certificate is valid until 2021.

The expansion of our existing business with the 'Service for power plant- and marine diesel engines", as well as changed legal regulations and requirements made it necessary to revise our general terms and conditions.
These updates were completed in July 25th 2016 and our updated terms and conditions were published in the download section of our website to be viewed and downloaded from our business partners. I addition, but only upon request from our business partners we will be pleased to provide these new documents by official post.
From 14.01.2015 – 15.01.2015 the DQS carried out a recertification audit at the SECO GmbH in accordance to ISO 9001:2008. In accordance to the rules the certificate was
issued for the next 3 years up to 2018 and is valid for the scope listed below:
Development, design, manufacturing and sales of pistons, cylinder liners, connecting rods, valve guides and valve seat rings for large bore engines in stationary and ship operation. Trading of other spare parts for large bore engines as well as sales of auxiliary equipment and their spare parts.
A week ago now - from 13.01.-14.01.2016 - the first of in total two surveillance audits took place in order to maintain the ISO Certificate.
As a result, no deviations were observed. Conclusively the DQS confirmed that the SECO GmbH continues to work and act in compliance to the rules for the scope listed above. The certificate remains valid for another year.
Our further planning is as follows:
January 2017 - 2nd Surveillance Audit in accordance to ISO 9001:2008.
January 2018 - The SECO GmbH will change the already implemented management
system to the new rules of the ISO 9001:2015.
As might be expected with the increasing market share of Hyundai Himsen engines in the past few years, the demand for spare parts for these motors is growing constantly.
In addition to our well-established scope of supplies for the engine brands of MAN B&W, MaK, Wärtsilä, Pielstick, SKL and others, SECO has now started to provide spare parts and services Himsen 17/28, Himsen 21/32 and Himsen 25/33 engines as well.
Already available to our customers are pistons, piston components and cylinder liners in different designs and revisions - and of course - in our proven WearResist®- quality. As well we are happy to carry out the reconditioning of your used pistons and liners; even if they are made by other manufacturers.
As with all our products even here, our main concern - Made in Germany - is in focus. Valves, valve seat rings, sealings, O-rings and other spare parts are mainly from German production. In addition, we are offering cylinder heads in different versions and stages of completion to our customers. And here as well, we provide reconditioning services of used cylinder heads.

The grand opening of the new SECO head office at Gross Orden 23 in Quedlinburg has taken place on 21.05.2011. From now on, pistons, cylinderliner and others engine spare parts will be produced here and used for marine diesel engines or power plant diesel engines.
The maxim valid for all products available from Germany's largest independently working spare part manufacturer for 4-stroke diesel engines is - Made in Germany only.
Managing directors Uwe Pränger and Jan Rentsch sincerely thank for the strong commitment of all employees and their families, of business partners and the representatives of Quedlinburg making the company's relocation possible while ongoing production.
The Mayor of Quedlinburg, Eberhard Brecht assured that: "We are very proud to have such an export-driven company strongly related to Quedlinburg. Please always have full order books, satisfied customers, healthy profits and decent pay." SECO is creating 103 new jobs.
